The compostion evolved from studies made at the Hampstead Heath extension, which is a rolling landscape of ancient trees and hidden ponds. I used masks and stencils to create the hard edges as a contrast to the layers of textures, which I created with rollers, sponges and dry brushes.

The panel sits within a wooden ‘tray frame’ in a hand painted off-white, to complement the artwork.
