Hampstead Ponds Residency 2026

In October 2025 I was invited to be artist-in-residence at the Kenwood Ladies Pond on Hampstead Heath. Swimmers are celebrating 100 years of the much loved bathing pond in 2026, with a group exhibition at Lauderdale House part of the programme of events. Living locally the Heath has been an inspiration for years, so it’s exciting to have the chance to study the Pond over several seasons. I’m exploring the play of light on water, the contrast between surface reflection and the world below, observing the changing flora and fauna on the banks, as well as sketching the women who use the pond in all weathers.
